The Construction Training Program offered by Lewiston Adult Education is a comprehensive 11-week workforce development initiative designed to equip students with essential skills for entry-level construction employment. The program combines a 60-hour WorkReady curriculum with a 90-hour construction skills training, covering topics such as OSHA-10 Construction and Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) certification. Additionally, students participate in employer presentations and work site visits to gain practical insights into the industry. The program culminates in eight weeks of work experience with local employers, allowing students to apply their skills in real-world settings. The program is offered at no cost to participants, with no financial aid or refund policy specified. Graduates are prepared for roles such as construction laborers, with an average starting wage of $14.00 per hour.
